I had the opportunity to work with an RN at St. Clair Hospital approximately 40 hours per week. They showed me valuable skills to implement in my own practice. I also had the opportunity to perform medication passes via PO, IM, SubQ, and IV. I was able to start NG tubes, foley caths and straight caths, as well as many other skills nurses perform on a daily basis. I performed assessments on patients, charted in the system, and was able to implement interventions I felt necessary.
