Over the course of six years, I had the opportunity to work for Tamara in varying capacities. During my employ at the DC Public Charter School Board, I enjoyed Tamara's leadership style in that she is a content area master with charter school law and development, has a keen sensibility for identifying strengths and proficiencies amongst team members, and is committed inherently to quality public school options for all students. In this regard, she communicated roles and responsibilities to her staff with clarity, maintained high standards for delivery of work product, and ensured a fertile environment for professional and organizational growth. As a leader, she also embodied the mission of the organization in her interactions with the most important stakeholders; she treated all parents, children, and school leaders with sincerity, transparency, and respect. I look forward to working with Tamara in future endeavors.
