Yacht Construction- • Professional woodworking and carpentry skills with a comprehensive understanding and experience in building all aspects of the MJM yacht line. • Safely operate all operations equipment including tow-motor, hydaulic trailer, 75mt Travellift, cranes, etc. Team Development- • Built and maintain a cohesive team, including coordination and collaboration within the team and other departments. • Responsible for developing a training program, improving skills in quality, efficiency, and safe carpentry practices. • Developed and maintain standard building procedures for assembly and installation methods. • Instituted a progressive review program to gauge employee progress. Product Development and Design- • Make and receive recommendations for product improvements, then designing and implementing these improvements. Scheduling- • Long term and short term coordination of team members so production schedule is met and coordination between teams is fluid. Labor and Financial budgeting- • Forecasting and communicating labor hours by task to team, so boat to boat labor performance is consistent and efficiency is maximized. • Maintaining responsible spending habits through cost-benefit analysis. Quality Assurance / Quality Control- • Monitoring quality of team members’ work by developing the process, as well as instituting QC checkpoints so boats are delivered defect free. Supplier Communications- • Convey information to suppliers regarding new items and improvements on old ones. Keep them informed of quality control issues while maintaining a good working relationship. Carpentry Shop- • Maintained stationary power tools and carpentry specific consumables, spec and price out new tools as needed to improve efficiency and quality. Boat Delivery- • Responsible for finishing, sea-trialing, and delivering boats valued at $2+ million up to quality standards and on-time to the Customer Service Team. Show less
