I started working with Arnaud during a time of major change and restructure, in UCB’s Middle East and Africa Regional Office. Most processes and procedures were literally transforming. He had just moved to Dubai and I had only joined UCB recently. Organized, focused and swift, he always had a more than a sense of direction during a very chaotic phase. It is was quite unlikely to feel lost working with Arnaud; he always made sure I knew what I need to deliver, when to have it ready, why I was working on it and where exactly it fits into the big picture! He is very much a detail-oriented manager, who has instilled in me a sense of scrutiny/healthy skepticism when assessing data; this has also increase my accuracy and efficiency. His ability to finely balance support to a newcomer, delegation when I was more experienced and to keep up motivation levels with new and challenging tasks; makes a very efficient leader/teacher out of him. Although tough at times, I believe he genuinely was a fare and considerate superior. Working with Arnaud has helped me learn and grow as a professional and a person. I could say, for the ten months of working together, he was able to bring out my best performance.
