      I've been part of CHAYN from the day it started and am one of the founding contributors to it. CHAYN is a UK-based open source gender and tech project that builds platforms, toolkits and runs hackathons to empower women facing violence & the organisations supporting them. Our first project took us to build a crowdsourced website to support women experiencing domestic violence in Pakistan in 3 months. Since then we have held events to engage people from different backgrounds in brainstorming solutions to violence against women; ran a hackathon with UK FCO & Dutch Embassy to combat sexual violence in conflict zones, enabled charities to empower more women through developing content and training manuals; and build toolkits to empower women & NGOs. I am involved in research, writing and editing content for CHAYN. Most recently, I was one of the editors for the innovative "How To Build Your Own Domestic Violence Case Without A Lawyer"​ (http://chayn.co/how-to-build-your-own-case/) opensource toolkit.
