While in this role my leadership and analytical approach led to efficiencies both in the field and the office.

Site Engineer - Working for AMEC as the Site Engineer on the £90 million PFI Carlisle Cumberland Hospital project, working alongside the management team and the client for the three-year duration of this project. Completed setting out, quality checks and surveying for buildings, footings, roads, utilities, and sewers for the length of the project. Checked plans, as-built drawings, and quantities for accuracy. Ensured that all materials used, and work performed adhered to all applicable specifications. Provided technical advice and problem solving solutions, liaised with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and other project workforce to ensure timely completion of the project. Supervised site workforce and subcontractors. Managed punch lists and workforce to complete work required.

Ensured timely ordering and scheduling of materials and oversaw quality control of all building work and materials. Applied fast problem-solving skills, and exceptional customer service skills (pre-and post-possession) while upholding one of the highest customer conflict resolution rates for the company. Business Owner - Being the owner taught me to be resourceful, adaptable, disciplined, organized, and invested in what I did, enabling me to be a creative thinker, solution provider, decision-maker, and salesperson. Projects included heating, GSHP, solar, plumbing and the building and maintenance of many different types of buildings.
