Bio
David Kelley
I worked with Sherrie Gossett at The Atlas Society for ten years, 2006-16. She was a huge asset to the organization and a great person to work with. Sherrie has an unusual range of high-level professional skills in different areas. She joined the organization as Managing Editor of our magazine (The New Individualist) and put it on a sound operational basis, drawing on her previous experience in journalism. When she became Executive Editor, she brought in new design and writing talent to create a world-class publication. As a professional writer who has worked with many editors, I think she’s incredible. I always appreciated her insights and revisions on the articles I wrote. Sherrie also took on responsibility for our website. As we moved all of our content online, she oversaw design, maintenance, and promotion. Over time she increased results for all of our digital platforms and social media. Sherrie always kept up with the rapidly developing technology, often taking courses at her own expense and on her own time. Her mastery of the tools and ability to apply them quickly and creatively was awesome. Sherrie has my highest recommendation for any position that can tap her energy, expertise, and discipline.

I was Sherrie Gossett's colleague for about 9 years at The Atlas Society, a small think-tank. Sherrie served as magazine editor and director of marketing and digital activities. She ran our website and producted videos and other media. For my part, I worked on events, writing, and speaking. She often published or posted or recorded work I did. Sherrie is highly professional and competent. Work she did was always well-executed. She brought an extensive knowledge of marketing and publishing to our work. Furthermore, she was always up to date on the most recent digital technologies. She is a good independent worker and a self-starter. In our work we were at times team partners. At times, she oversaw my work (as when I was contributing editor on the magazine she edited, the New Individualist.) And at times I oversaw or managed her work. I recommend her highly. She has been a valued and productive colleague across a range of challenging disciplines. I am happy to answer further questions about her. --William Thomas Director of Programs and CFO, the Atlas Society
