I had the great pleasure of mentoring Titus Ofei in his work of understanding and applying Rheology. Titus is a very skilled, open eared, curius person who brings happiness to everyone he meets. I strongly recommend Titus to any position he may apply for because I am confident he will make the very best out of it.

Bjørnar Lund

I have worked with Titus during his 2-year post-doctoral engagement at SINTEF/NTNU, for the PIRE project "Multi-scale, Multi-phase Phenomena in Complex Fluids for the Energy Industries" (https://pire.ccny.cuny.edu/) During this period he has been very productive both with experimental work and publications. Titus has great experimental skills combined with a good understanding of the underlying physics as well as the practical applications. He is an easy-going, diligent and hard-working person with good co-operation skills while also being able to work independently. It is with pleasure that I recommend Titus for any prospective employer. Bjørnar Lund, Senior Research Scientist, SINTEF, Norway

PIRE project is conducted under a multi-national framework, involving researchers from eleven institutions in four countries including the USA, Germany, France, and Norway. Some key industry partners included Schlumberger and SINTEF. + As the Lead PIRE subject matter expert in multiphase fluids research, identified and implemented new methods to mitigate particle sedimentation and improve energy/process efficiency in the oil and gas industries. + Successfully planned and completed 6 project objectives on the mechanisms of particle sedimentation in field-based drilling fluids using innovative techniques and cutting-edge research facilities. The projects were funded by the Norwegian Research Council and the National Science Foundation. + Managed the installation of a new fabricated in-house flow loop facility with an operating capacity of pressure at 1000 bar and temperature of 200C for measuring particle sedimentation in oil-based drilling fluids. + Designed experimental protocols for validating and testing the in-house flow loop while operating under strict safety conditions. This included long-term exposure to cycles of pressure, temperature, and gas loading. + Formulated experimental design and executed measurement protocols to understand the mechanisms of particle sedimentation in oil-based drilling fluids using the American Petroleum Institute (API) standard. + Co-supervised the experimental study of cuttings transport/hole cleaning phenomena in horizontal wells. Performed numerical/CFD simulation analysis and validated findings with experimental results. + Accelerated the research and education of several masters, undergraduate, and exchange students by training them on lab experimentation, supervising thesis and report writing, and mentoring them on project presentation. + Authored 11 peer-reviewed articles and presented 10+ technical papers in collaboration with project partners at international events.
