  Environmental Management Support Programme (EMSP) focuses on strengthening the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) at central and provincial levels in Lao PDR. The programme is funded by the Government of Finland for 2010-2014.

  Executed a research project on policy considerations of greenhouse gas emissions from freshwater reservoirs. Presented the research in an international workshop on Future Models for Water and Energy in Brisbane, Australia in July 2009. Published the results in a peer-reviewed journal Water Alternatives special issue on WCD+10 in June 2010, which featured at an event in the World Water Week in Stockholm in September 2010.
