Bio
Steve Bevan
Karl worked for me from 2001 to 2005. He is a passionate engineer, totally focussed on results and getting the job done. During his time at Selex, he managed a major development programme on a redesign of a VME-based backplane, incorporating many new functions. The motherboard is now in full production and has proved highly reliable during production test and in service offering at least a factor of 5 improvement over its predecessor. This activity was in addition to his prime role of being responsible for all aspects of the full unit integration testing. I would not hesitate in hiring him again.

Technical Sales Director (Abtest Ltd)

Jul 2012 - Apr 2013
Due to a very favourable offer from Peak Production Equipment Ltd, I only stayed in this role for 10 months. In that time I reworked all the content from the existing website and integrated it into the main TT Electronics IMS website. Made several changes to the sales operation and refocused the sales team. In conjunction with my own efforts this resulted in a 37% increase in bookings for Q1, 2013 compared with the previous year. I opened UK office in 2006 and starting with only a handful of existing customers, I built the business to support 5 employees by 2008 and achieved 97% of an aggressive personal sales target. Throughout the tough years of 2009, 2010 and 2011, I created a turnover growth of 5%, 14% and 19% respectively. I started looking for a new challenge in 2012, realising 70% of my annual target in first 6 months of 2013 before leaving for a new role.
