As a Team Leader in development department my responsibilities are to make feasibility report on the new project and the samples which includes- Tool Design, check whether existing tools can perform the job or create new tools.- Process Flow, the number of processes involved and the cycle time and In-process Quality control.- Bill of Materials, the number of assembly components that has to be added while process flow and the decision of the assembly stage (when and where).- Process Quality Control, measures that has to be taken to control NG or abnormalities during production and also reduce the cycle time.- Gauge Design, checking aids, the final inspection tools using 3D modelling software (Solid Works).- Automation/ Special Purpose Machine Design, to avoid the physical involvement which helps in cost reduction. - Packing Standards, which comes under Process Quality Control to ensure that the proto-sample/ mass production is delivered safe to the customer.- IATF 16949 standards.
