Bio
Guillaume Ripoll
I have worked side by side with Pierre for more than a year on a online multiplayer mobile game and it was really a pleasure to work with him on all the challenges we met to set up a deterministic client-server game architecture from scratch. He proves himself a fast learner with a very good analytical mind, taking time to figure out the gameplay's architecture to ensure robustness and high quality of code. As a member of a very small team (2 developpers for more than a year), he managed a lot of various things and had a lot of technical areas to cover and he did it with a remarkable efficiency. He built mostly all the implementation of the gameplay, ensuring that it can be run on the client as well on the server. He also made a lot of tools to facilitate things with game designers, being responsive and even proactive with all the requests they asked him for. He is really a passionate and smart developer, a inventive gameplay programmer, and I really enjoyed the technical and casual discussions that we had along the way to the beta of the game.

As Old Skull Games Lead Programmer, I can’t recommend Pierre enough. Although he arrived at Old Skull Games as an intern with no professional experience in the industry, he was already a really skilled programmer always willing to learn new stuff. He took ownership on many features really quickly, and I’ve always been more than happy of his work :clean and professional. Pierre always told us he wanted to work on AAA games, and waited for the good time (for him and the projects) to start looking for new opportunities, which is very professional and proves his loyalty to the company and projects. Pierre is also a great person, really friendly and open minded. Having him leave will be a great loss for Old Skull Games, but I respect his decision to move to AAA industry and wish him the best of luck for the future.
