My key duties and responsibilities include tracing and handling lost, found, damaged and missing baggage using SITA’s WorldTracer system, which is a global tracing and matching baggage system. SHP closely works with Customs and Excise, so any found baggage gets processed through them. Baggage then gets forwarded to its correct destination, that being locally or internationally whilst maintaining regular contact with passengers. Other general duties include meeting arriving flights, working with Immigration and other general AD-HOC duties. I would get daily, weekly and monthly reviews with monetary awards and bonuses if targets were met. Every month I would be given extra responsibility to teach and train new drivers.
