I enjoy volunteering my time to helping others in creative ways. This has included: Photography for a chapbook by Ralph Dartford titled 'Cigarettes, Beer and Love'. A creative collaboration with Ossett Observer, Shephard Creative, Leeds Graphic Press, The Print Project and Papercut Bindery. This incorporates poetry, photography, traditional letterpress and book binding techniques. Published in Aug 2013 Founded Wakefield Jelly in 2013 to offer free monthly co-working sessions at Create Cafe. Member of the External Relations & Development team in the Yorkshire Regional Office. Grants assessor. Assistant to Development team consisting of: * Education & Learning Officer * Diversity Officer * Arts Participation & Inclusion Officer * Head of Development Member of in-house team for Arts Council's intranet. Worked alongside the Communications team offering technical support to other staff users. In April 2002 ten Regional Arts Boards merged with the Arts Council of England. At that time I was working as Visual Arts & Crafts Administrator at Yorkshire Arts (RAB). I was responsible for database management of the Yorkshire & Humberside Index of artists and craftspeople and also maintained the associated slide library. Was instrumental in arranging the transfer of approx 200+ artist records, including over 2000 slides, to Axisweb http://www.axisweb.org Co-ordinated and promoted the Individual Artists Awards Scheme and Group Projects scheme. From 2008 - 2010 helped develop and introduce an Energy Saving Plan. Worked closely with the Office Services Manager and Arts & Ecology Strategy Officer to deliver briefing to all staff on climate change and energy efficiency. Participation and commitment of Yorkshire staff lead to regional office winning two Green Business Awards in late 2009. Promoted the launch of the Arts Energy Toolkit to enable arts organisations to reduce their energy usage and carbon emissions by up to 20%. Joined the Better Business Environment Forum (BBEF) to aid skills development, knowledge base and further disemmination. Promoted other initiatives via e-newsletter to encourage sustainability within the arts sector, eg 'Why Waste' a free online business waste exchange. Worked in partnership with the Green Business Network (GBN) to alert arts organisations to availability of free environmental advice and help within the Kirklees area.
