Tina Pryor, MS HRM

I met Rudy in grad school at Florida International University in 2015. He was determined, diligent, focused and well organized. It was pleasure working with him on our team assignments as he always added value and contributed to our fact finding process and our team’s success. His experience working in the legal industry was extremely helpful when we held our mock-trials for our employment law class. He was extremely reliable and followed through on all assignments that were thoughtfully prepared and presented. He demonstrated excellent leadership skills and a strong sense of purpose.

In The Zone Sports, Inc., was a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that I founded after graduating from college. After writing for The Miami Herald, I decided to start my own website/magazine to promote high school sports in South Florida. That morphed into an Annual Christmas basketball tournament that took place at American, Northwest Christian and Norland High Schools. The event lasted four years and promoted high school basketball players (male and female) around the country. The events were quite successful.Under this umbrella, I created Team In the Zone AAU Basketball Club. We traveled to numerous events around the country giving high school basketball players an opportunity to shine on a national level. We played in tournaments such as the Rumble in the Bronx, the Pitt Jam Fest, the Breakdown Hoops Festival, AAU Nationals and more. We helped over 60 high school basketball players earn college scholarships through our program. Some of our players went on to play professional basketball, both in the NBA and overseas. Helping our youth was a gratifying experience and something I would love to be able to do again in the future. The experiences from founding and running the organization gave me a lot of experience in marketing, graphic design, web design, magazine layouts, advertisement, social media marketing and more.
