Brian Williamson
Robin has done great things for the community at Salmon Bay School. In her role as chairperson of the parent board, she handled contentious issues with grace and wisdom. She has developed informative websites, worked to clarify and revise our bylaws, and been a prime motivator to the installation of a new playground. Robin is focused and follows through when she starts a project. She's highly recommended by me!

Robin is a highly talented and versatile professional with a "can do" attitude. Her capabilities to analyze a situation or piece of work, propose, then implement improvements were uniquely and consistently demonstrated at Archbright both within her department and across the company as she worked on various projects. Robin tackles projects with aplomb and gives her all to her work and her team. Feel free to contact me directly if you would like further details.

Delivering a best-in-class experience is paramount to the success I’ve found at Chroma. The strengths I bring to the chair include ever-evolving technical hair-cutting skills, smart blonding techniques and color work, and growing retail sales. Team-building skills are in high demand as ever, and my talent for building up a business, a client, or a brand are other great parts of my success. My natural affinity for the more social aspects of this challenging position shine through, as does my enthusiasm, creativity, and sense of purpose. Now serving as the Aveda brand ambassador for our salon, I am able to channel all my experiences into helping our team be the best that it can be, and serve as the great retail leaders we can easily be. I turned my passion for people, my intuitive understanding of balance and design, and my creative way in the world into a new career as hairstylist and colorist. I completed my apprenticeship at Salon Joseph, where clients appreciated my eye for framing faces and complementing features, as well as my thoughtful use of color and highlighting techniques. My warmth and curiosity makes it easy for clients to connect with me, so that I and my clients can collaborate on a look that’s just right. My approach is to be sure clients know what their hair needs and loves, and that they walk away with great looks they can style and maintain at home. Familiar with Aveda hair color, as well as TiGi Copyright Color, Keune Tinta, and Pulp Riot. Built a loyal clientele that included men, children, and women of all ages and backgrounds. Additionally, worked as an exclusive hairdresser to the Greenpoint Aerospace Technologies team. Created custom content to suit each new client's hair needs and concerns, and crafted yearlong marketing campaign and all materials. Clients included both men and women, and family members of employees. At the same time, operated my own chair at Shine Hair Studio. Show less

Ensuring the best in service for a multi-employer pension fund is at the heart of this work, a job made challenging by complex systems, federal regulations, and plan rules. My expertise as a writer ensured that our communications were crisp, clean, and concise, whereas my aptitude for organization, systems development, and administration ensured a smooth workflow that got things done well in a timely way. I was consulted on internal and external communications, and worked hard for my team and this great company. Responsibilities also included auditing of benefits and payroll, administering joint and survivor benefits, A/P, electronic filings, calculating benefit amounts, and creating and maintaining the department's handbook for reps. Administration Manager
-
Jan 2003 - Dec 2003
As administration manager, I improved service to the food bank's clients by successfully reaching out to other agencies in the White Center area in order to expand the hours of operation, add baby supplies to our pantry, and begin providing no-cook food bags for the homeless population. I designed a volunteer support program which included volunteer training, and provided clear policies and procedures. As board secretary, I created a board recruitment strategy that brought in fresh energy from new members, who then led a successful capital campaign. Additionally, I facilitated the process of creating a mission statement which better reflected the food bank's mission and unique role in the community: to serve more food, to more people, more often.
