Mission Viejo, CA At Reprogene, we aim to offer the most comprehensive and accurate pre-implantation genetic screening (PGS) available to date to IVF patients worldwide. As a Genomic Scientist at Reprogene, I have developed several new assays to distinguish aneuploid embryos from euploid embryos using cutting-edge technology, including next generation sequencing and qPCR, in an effort to shorten the turn-around-time of PGS and cut costs to our patients while increasing the accuracy and reliability of their… Show more At Reprogene, we aim to offer the most comprehensive and accurate pre-implantation genetic screening (PGS) available to date to IVF patients worldwide. As part of the R&D department, I am also pioneering the development and validation of targeted sequencing protocols for other applications. Show less

Irvine, CA I earned my PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry in the lab of Dr. Andrej Luptak. Collectively, the Luptak lab uses structure- and function-based assays to search for and characterize new catalytic RNAs, including HDV-like and hammerhead ribozymes. Once the in vitro activity of the newly discovered RNA is confirmed, we examine the potential for biological function in vivo. Specifically, I defined several novel biological roles for HDV-like ribozymes found in non-LTR retrotransposons, the… Show more I earned my PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry in the lab of Dr. Andrej Luptak. Once the in vitro activity of the newly discovered RNA is confirmed, we examine the potential for biological function in vivo. Specifically, I defined several novel biological roles for HDV-like ribozymes found in non-LTR retrotransposons, the first described function for this class of ribozymes outside of the virus in which it was originally identified.
