Although he grew up in New Jersey, Matt is a southerner by choice, having called North Carolina home for six of the last eight years. He and his family fell in love with the Raleigh-Durham area two years ago and after a brief stint in Georgia decided it was time to move back and stay put. ­ Matt graduated from the US Naval Academy and served as an officer in the Marine Corps. While deployed to Afghanistan, Matt worked with local businesses to negotiate contracts and complete construction projects, and he enjoyed building relationships in the local community.
