📦 Working in the warehouse meant learning all the different products that the company sells, as well as learning the company produces. Doing this within a few weeks meant learning a completely new role quickly, as well as demonstrating a hardworking ethic. 📦 After a few weeks the role expanded to being one of four people who could run the cuts department, nosing department, do deliveries and go on to the trade counter. This demonstrated a passion for a changing fast-paced work environment. 📦 Upon that, the role also included acting as an assistant warehouse manager. This role entailed many skills in one, leadership, customer service, logical thinking, adaptability, motivated thinking and administration skills. Show less

🍏 The time at Waitrose covered working at two stores Ringwood and Winchester. Moving stores meant quickly having to work product locations and new working procedures. 🍏 The role expanded from supermarket assistant to Trainee Team Leader, after demonstrating a passion for the job. 🍏 The role included being trained in the Cash Office, Meat and Fish Counter, Operations, Checkout Supervisor, Bakery, Partner Kitchen and Welcome Desk. The role allowed development in IT skill and people skills. 🍏 The best bit of this job was working on one section at the beginning of a shift, and by the end, having worked in five different parts.
