English Teacher (7th Grade)-Design personalized learning experiences that allow for students to explore and develop their owns passions and interests. -Develop inquiry based units through Project Based Learning models where students learn by designing and constructing actual solutions to real world problems.-Expose students to a wide range of literary and non-literary text types, writing styles and techniques.-Create technology-mediated learning experiences and assessment strategies that guide students to the highest order of thinking, creativity, collaboration, and publication.-Provide students with daily opportunities to independently and collaboratively investigate, take action and reflect on their learning. -Promote students to be able to work in flexible learning spaces within the classroom and the school.Leadership Teacher (7th and 8th Grade)-Inspire students to make a difference in their communities and ignite a sense of equity and social justice in the world. -Lead students through the design thinking process to come up with creative solutions to various community problems as a required community service project. -Teach lessons on effective leadership qualities such as public speaking, attentive listening, and understanding design thinking. -Research “ Champions of Humanity” in order to learn leadership qualities and be inspired through real life modern and historical leaders. Facilitate student led school wide events.Digital Photography (7th and 8th Grade)-Teach students the basic elements of photographic composition, technical elements of photography and basic elements of photo editing on Photoshop CS3.-Create photography portfolios, expositions and gallery walks to publicly showcase student work. -Participate in world wide photography contests in order to publish student photographs to a wider audience.
