I had the pleasure of working with Kevin on a ground breaking educational program that required a great deal of professional knowledge and creativity as well as a fair amount of persistence. The RI Mortgage Bankers Association partnered with the Community College of RI to produce a live video program of instruction entitled Principles of Mortgage Lending/Mortgage Data Processing. The course runs for 15 weeks to include a final exam with graduation and a job fair the final week. Funding was provided for these un-and-under employed students through the RI Department of Labor with Federal funds provided by the Cares Act. I had mentioned the Hondros 20 credit LO prep course to CCRI in our negotiations and they insisted that it be included and run simultaneously with the 15 week course. At the time NMLS required the course to be completed in a much shorter time which would not work for us. Kevin took the initiative with the approval of Hondros management to ask NMLS for an exception specific to this program's needs and it was approved. To date we have graduated 54 students and another 17 are taking their final exams this week for both courses with a new course starting on March 15th 2022. None of this would be possible without Kevin. After approval he worked with a team at Hondros to set up the mechanics of this new partnership from a timing perspective. As with any new program there were some minor hiccups initially but Kevin was always right there to keep things on track for us and now it runs seamlessly. It is my understanding that the 14 week program has been added to the Hondros standard menu. For those that take advantage of it all credit to Kevin. Fantastic partner to work with and a great guy who gets it done with a level head and a sense of humor. Problems and speed bumps are only viewed as opportunities by him. I had the opportunity to work with Kevin in various roles during my time as the Director of Human Resources with Hondros Family of Companies. No matter the role, Kevin approached each role with professionalism and specific goals that he wanted to accomplish. As Kevin moved up within the organization, I had the opportunity to work with him on more projects and strategic initiatives. Kevin had this wonderful ability to connect with people and to build relationships. He provided outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers and he taught and mentored others in how to do the same. The quality I most appreciate about Kevin, though was his sense of humor - he could bring people together through laughter. For several years he was the MC at our annual company meeting - which he did with professionalism, humor and sincerity. In the years I worked with Kevin he helped grow the business significantly through his very focused efforts. I would gladly recoomend Kevin for any role that he thought he could do well.
