As a Technical Implementations Lead I was tasked with learning the product and help clients figure out the best path toward integration. I managed multiple clients helping them towards achieving their goals. I became one of the more technical members of our team, helping those without as much technical proficiency accomplish goals for themselves or their clients. I became one of the go-to people for implementing our Federated OAuth (SMART on FHIR) system, and working on Javascript and Java based solutions for custom implementations. I've helmed various lessons for our team, including one on debugging our platform. Show less

My time with VertexOne can be split into two different roles. I first started with UI development for a client facing application. We used emerging industry standards such as NodeJS, Angular 4, Angular-cli, and SCSS/SASS. I was the head UI dev for the project, responsible for developing multiple pages and forms as part of a conversion from an old Java based web application. I created angular-cli templates to help speed up the development process, and many of the parent components and services that would be used by other devs to develop child pages. I coordinated heavily with the JEE API team to on constructing the best API to UI flow. I worked alongside the deployment team on how to correctly deploy the Angular project to Nginx, and IIS. Later on, I held information sessions to instruct others in the company about Angular, how to use it, and how it was utilized in our code base. With my first project sunsetting, I was moved to a new role within a newly acquired company, known as WaterSmart Software. I started off primarily as a front end dev in Yii (php application framework) working on bug fixes and improving our product. I had created a custom styling engine for our nearly 200 clients that allowed them to style their site and emails as they wanted to. Due to the many changing roles, and praise I had received for my work, I was later given a team lead role. This came with additional responsibilities, which included working on the API and dataloader in our python 2 & 3 backend. Some additional responsibilities included working on pager duty rotations, responding to our customer success team requests, resolving critical alerts, developing slack bot notifications, and doing code reviews in GitHub. I worked very closely with all members of my team and developed a great rapport with devs and CS alike. This project was built using docker, and deployed from AWS. Show less

The Vendr project started off as a part-time startup role. A project worked on between myself and a few colleagues, with a goal to try and shake up the real-estate industry by providing people the tools to buy and sell homes without the assistance of real-estate agents. The website is being created using ReactJS, react-router, redux, and reducers. My main role was the development of the UX/UI of the site. This was a major part of our launch, as following accessibility standards and following various unwritten rules of UX would help in a seamless user experience. Storyboards, research, and many discussions were had to pin down the flow of the site. Along with the React library, we also used python and connect api to develop APIs between our python backend and ReactJS FrontEnd. Although the project did not go as well as we had hoped it would, it was a great lesson in how to start a new project, and to develop very agile prototypes. Show less

My time with the ministry of health was to help advance the current systems for doctor and patient usage. While working here, my team were tasked with developing a various proofs of concepts. A major one was enabling patients and doctors to be able to view various types of medical information from differing sources through a single portal. We used APIs to retrieve, post, and update data. The main components used for the project were Angular JS 2, SASS, CouchDB, and API Connect (API Gateway in IBM). Another major project was to build upon the concepts of the previous one mentioned. Using micro-services architecture, the project would allow developers to easily utilize medical based applications created by others. A lot of time was spent on how the data flow would go, and used prototyping methodology to developer the POC. This was mostly developed using NodeJS, Angular 1 & 2, MongoDB, Handlebars, Docker, and CouchDB. I was also involved with existing and legacy projects, which usually involved maintenance and reviewing codebases. A lot of this work was developed in Java. Show less

Was tasked with developing the main website for Vitality Depot. An agile methodology was used to develop the project, involving many meetings which contained requirements gathering. The team was small, and work was divided up evenly amongst myself and the others. Main development tools used were HTML, CSS, SASS, Javascript, Bootstrap, NodeJs, Handlebars, JQuery, and Github. My time with Wal-Mart was mostly spent as a member of the electronics, and Photo Lab team. Was tasked with organizing our section, assisting customers with any inquiries they may have about the products we owned, and managing our photo lab. I was constantly commended for my great customer service, as well as my friendly and courteous attitude. Because of this, alongside having developed a great rapport with co-workers and managers, allowed me to obtain a summer department manager role.
