I have had the pleasure of working with Ben for all his time as ICT Advisor for Minister Ferguson. I am in a management role in one of Tasmania's largest IT Companies, and I Chair the Government Policy and Procurement Committee for TasICT. Ben has been instrumental in effecting some of the most positive and significant changes to the Tasmanian industry in my 30 year tenure. Ben is willing to genuinely listen, to provide insights and to be honest and respectful, in all the dealings I have had with him. Ben takes the time to understand issues, to delve into the background and to invest with key stakeholders to achieve a fair result. At all times he is respectful, and addresses roadblocks with the highest degree of professional courtesy and is always focused on achieving a positive outcome.

I have found Ben Gourlay to be an astute and proactive political advisor who has the capacity to navigate government in order to bring to life projects and policies for the benefit of Tasmanians.
