Was also responsible for 18 head-end systems which were sited round the province and connected to head-office via leased lines. Each head-end consisted of Mac servers, running proprietary software, connected to a PAL encoder which fed the cable. Maintaining the head-end systems invariably involved traveling around the province chasing after hardware/software breakdowns.
