  While working here I was tasked with preparing animals to be seen by the veterinarian. This involved running certain tests and handling the animals with care. I am proficient in drawing blood and performing blood tests, taking and analyzing urine/stool samples, trimming nails, aiding in taking radiographs, and preparing and administering vaccines along with various other skills required by veterinary technicians. In addition to these tasks, I assisted in various surgeries. While assisting in these surgeries I practiced suturing, learned advanced skills of administering/monitoring anesthetics, working with newborn animals, and performed dentals on animals among various other skills. I also checked out the patients' owners after the visit was complete and gained skill in customer service.
