I currently teach AP Language and composition and Sophomore American Literature. My aim is to use best practices in order to improve student comprehension, reasoning, literacy, and writing skills. I believe in building life long learners that constantly question the world around them. My AP Language and Composition sections have averaged a 3.79/5 over the past three years, and have shown exponential growth in analysis and argument over each school year. I believe in a data driven approach to classroom instruction while also foster relationships that promote an engaging cooperative learning environment. I am also the head coach for the Jones-Payton Boys Swim Team that has set ever school record in my time as head coach. Further the team has placed no lower than second in the city championships, has had numerous All-City athletes, All-Sectional athletes, and two All-America selections. Show less
