Aaron is an outstanding nuclear professional, leader, and manager. I had the pleasure of serving with him in both Reactor Laboratory and Mechanical Divisions on USS Abraham Lincoln. He always demonstrated a professional attitude and passion for his work. In the area of chemistry and radiological controls, his level of expertiese was unparalleled and I relied on his judgement daily for the safe and efficient operation of our plants. When we moved to Machinery Division I had the opportunity to really watch Aaron grow as a leader. Both of us were operating in an area where we had a more limited level of experience to rely on. Aaron tackled learning the new role, spending hours in technical manuals to trouble shoot equipment and train his subordinates on the proper operation of their equipment. Additionally, he did an exceptional job of leading a more diverse workforce of about 70 sailors from various education, training, and social backgrounds. He always got the most out of those he led while balancing the unique challenges of deployments and family life for those who reported to him. I recommend Aaron for any job and would gladly work with him again.
