What an influential leader and role model! After working with Reeshemah for over 8 years, 3 as her Associate Executive Director, I was able to confidently step in to her role when she transferred out of the Buchanan YMCA. I learned from her the importance of community outreach and making meaningful collaborations with other CBO's in San Francisco. She is very skilled in bringing people together to accomplish a mutually beneficial project for the community we served. Her ability to fundraise has given me a template that I continue to use. She has an ability to show her appreciation to volunteers and staff in a meaningful way that makes everyone feel special. Wherever she goes, she will leave a positive impression.

I have worked more than 2 decades in education with many leaders and can say Reeshemah is as talented a leader of people and programs as any I've had the pleasure of encountering. As the Director of Grants with the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth, I worked with Reeshemah directly. As a Regional Vice President, she identified resources to enhance the communities in her area by enhancing community wellness initiatives, early educational programs and a mentoring program that became a national hallmark for the Y. Reeshemah helped lead a capital campaign that produced a state of the art YMCA wellness facility in the heart of one of Fort Worth's high need areas. She's also worked to develop her team to succeed and grow as leaders in their own right and built partnerships with universities, local businesses and agencies to further meet the needs of those she served.
