She is responsible for roadway design layout including horizontal and vertical alignment, drainage design, utility relocation, pavement striping and signage, and maintenance of traffic. Associated with signalization design, Katie is responsible for signal layout including spanwire and mast arm designs, signal calculations, and signal timing including interconnection and coordination.

At Mactec, she was responsible for preparing engineering studies including property condition assessments, water intrusion assessments, moisture testing, construction loan monitoring, roof assessments and installation inspections, construction inspections, construction materials testing, and Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
