I was fortunate to work with Hendie for around 1 year. Together we were able to deliver a complex mid-size project with the high quality and superb client feedback. Hendie excels in both hands-on technical tasks, as well as high level client communications. He’s able to simplify complex technical problems in business-related terms. He’s fully aware of technical trade-offs and is capable of generating more than one solution to a complex problem. He’s also always well-read in the tools of the trade and is technically versed in multiple languages/platforms. Hope our roads would cross again in the near future.

I worked with Hendieon a conversion project for a major Oil & Gas company based in Calgary and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Hendie was part of a geographically spread out team and quickly established himself as a natural technical lead. Hendie was a go-to guy for issues, complex technical problems and review of other team members work. He was in at the beginning of the project and last out at the end due to his ability to just get on with the job and support others along the way. A great asset and team leader I'd work with him again in a trice.

MyTime is a fully integrated appointment scheduling, point-of-sale and customer engagement platform for multi-location chains and franchises. It’s built to be modular, but it really shines when the various components work together to maximize revenue by reaching customers wherever they are at the moment they are ready to transact. My specific area of expertise in this application is with POS, and EFT. I have already helped to integrate our application with Stripe and Cloud9/TSYS, making it seamless for our merchants to accept credit card payments for goods and services rendered. Technologies: Ruby on Rails 3, 4 & 5, github, MySQL, AWS, Jenkins, Sentry, DataDog, Pivotal Tracker

In the summer of 2011 my wife and I left our home in the city to move to the country to fulfil her lifelong dream of being a farmer on an organic fruit and vegetable farm. We are passionate about healthy, responsible living and this is our contribution to the wellbeing of our fellow man (and women!) My wife is the horticultural brains behind the operation, while I do my best to do all her heavy lifting ... and balancing the books!
