Technical Associates is a design/build engineering and construction firm providing services to a broad range of private sectors, including Food and Beverage, Pulp and Paper, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Telecommunications, Public School Systems, Wastewater, Breweries, and other consumer products divisions. Designed a structural steel platform mounted on concrete pedestals for access to a large chemical storage tank, including the design of the guardrails and access stairway. Provided sketches for and reviewed fabrication drawings for structure. Resolved fabrication questions and provided clarifications to the fabrication team.Wrote proposal document, combining information from a number of sources on cost estimation and scope of work, into an effective whole for submittal to client.Traveled to customer sites to obtain field measurements and provide field sketches for use in the design process.

Enercon Services, Inc. is an engineering, environmental, technical and management services firm providing a broad range of professional services to private, public, and government sector clients throughout the United States and specializing in nuclear power plant design and modification.As a member of ENERCON’s Civil/Structural Engineering Group, worked on a variety of projects of varied scope ranging from small pipe supports to large structure designs and modifications. These have included designing an underwater wildlife barrier structure, containment sump strainers, containment sump plenums, transformer pit grating systems, reviewing drawings and calculations, generating installation instructions, reviewing and incorporating Engineering Change Requests, and modeling in GT STRUDL. In many cases, worked several large and small projects simultaneously in order to support competing schedules. Accepted as one of a small number of members for ENERCON’s pilot Emerging Leaders program for developing leadership and business skills in promising engineers.Throughout numerous projects, developed significant experience with structural and finite element modeling, structural steel design, calculation preparation and review, drawing preparation and review, proposal preparation, technical writing for client and regulatory submission, review of technical reports and other technical documents, and teamwork.

Design is a small, privately held structural consulting firm with a generalized practice, working with architecture and design-build firms to design a wide range of commercial structures.Worked primarily as a designer on more than 20 projects ranging from free-standing signs to 14-story high-rise, multi-usage hotels.Designed residential and commercial structures including low-, mid- and high-rise, wastewater treatment facilities structural steel, reinforced and prestressed concrete, reinforced masonry, timber, building framing systems, and connections.Prepared structural plans, section drawings and details, reviewed shop drawing and markups.Used a variety of structural modeling programs and reverse engineering of existing structures to determine maximum allowable service loads and acceptable usages and design structures.
