Bio
Carmen Bolívar, LCSW (she/her/ella)
I started working with LaVonne in 2018 at Alteristic. She has the ability to take on a challenge, apply her skillset, and produce outcomes of superb quality. Some of the projects I am most proud of during my work at Alteristic were often in collaboration with LaVonne. She was pivotal in reimagining the recruitment and onboarding process for talent, ensuring our practices were equitable and reliable. She also applied her training and curriculum writing expertise throughout the organization to achieve learning and development goals for participants and strengthen the quality of the facilitation delivery throughout the training team. If you listen closely to an Alteristic trainer, you will hear her voice and scripting threaded throughout the organization. LaVonne possesses a myriad of skills that include people management, grant writing, designing and implementing technical support, developing project plans, and leading communication efforts. I recommend LaVonne without hesitation to an organization that is ready to achieve its strategic goals through her people-first approach to leadership and visionary drive. She is connected, talented, and nothing short of amazing.
Sirajah Raheem, MPH
LaVonne joined the Alteristic team in 2018 to support the coordination of the OVW grant and to conduct training. We worked together from 2018 to 2020. LaVonne is a collaborative, reliable partner internally and externally, and she's able to apply her subject matter expertise to provide effective technical assistance provision. She is able to quickly and proficiently create new content and she's an ace researcher. As a trainer, LaVonne demonstrates empathy, humor, authenticity, and confidence which makes her a favorite for participants across populations and then she had the skills and knowledge to support implementation and application. She is a talented trainer and is able to adapt her training style to a diverse array of audiences. She's a joy to work with, she is an excellent trainer, and I recommend her to you without reservation.
