Scott Ford is an effective leader who successfully managed and navigated the Instructional Design team at American Career College and West Coast University through an extremely challenging and time-sensitive transition of the organization-wide learning management system from Blackboard to Canvas. This transition was achieved in extremely short order, over about six months, with the bulk of the work occurring over three months. Obviously we all had to put in additional time and effort, but Scott was there to roll up his sleeves along with us as well as motivate and inspire the team to complete this task efficiently, and in good spirits. Scott is also a great mentor who pulled me aside in one-on-one meetings to offer advice and feedback which has helped my professional growth at ACC. Scott is not one to waste time and mince words, and I appreciated his professionalism. It is my pleasure to offer this recommendation to Scott, and I know he will be a valuable asset to any organization that he works with.

Emily Egerton, Ph.D., M.Ed.

Scott Ford is a leader and visionary of the highest order. As an instructional designer, Scott is energized by the creative process and the educational benefits of interactive instructional technologies; as a leader, he deftly maintains a balance between empathy and directiveness. He consistently values and dignifies his team members by eliciting and integrating their ideas in the organization's knowledge base, advocating for their needs, encouraging them to maintain a good work-life balance, and promoting professional and intellectual growth. When it comes to recruiting and retaining a team of qualified instructional/media designers, Scott is keenly insightful, intuitive, and inclusive. His interactions with subordinates on professional and personal levels net him the respect from a team of dedicated IDs who would do anything for him. I highly endorse Scott Ford as an e-Learning director, instructional technology expert, and any position related to leadership and project management.
