I have worked with James for the past year as a member of ESSCO Council. James approached all challenges with a positive attitude and was a real asset to the team. As the representative for the Conestoga Engineering Society, James consistently ensured that he was communicating effectively with his school and was very prompt with email responses. James provides meaningful discussion points during Council meetings, always keeping in mind the best interests of the students he represents. It was truly a pleasure working with James, and I would highly recommend him for any position.

James Hobson

James is a highly motivated individual who constantly strives for success in his work, school, and personal projects. He is a professional beyond his years and an asset to any company. At Christie Digital James was diligent, detail oriented, and determined to provide exceptional engineering test support for product development. The Environmental Lab helps the Product Developers design the best product possible, tested to the meet or exceed the competition by utilizing a highly stringent standard that all our products must pass. As a key member of the team, James helped ensure many of our products are the best they can be. Individuals like James are the reason Christie Digital is a world leader in digital display solutions, with a rock solid reputation for building quality products again and again.

The welding faculty at the College wants to expand it's state of the art weld shop. Friction stir welding a specialized type of welding that uses friction to weld metal together, rather than an electric current. I am part of a three-man team responsible for continuing the design and assembly of this machine, as well as implementing it in the weld shop.

Analysis and Design of Mechanisms is a 2nd year course that applies the mathematical concepts of vectors and dynamic physics. Students learn how to classify mechanisms, do static and dynamic force analysis of mechanisms, and graphical synthesis of linkages. There is various assignments and projects required for completion of this course and I am grading these requirements based on the rubrics laid out by the professor and the course guidelines. Course information can be found at the following link. Show less
