The welding faculty at the College wants to expand it's state of the art weld shop. Friction stir welding a specialized type of welding that uses friction to weld metal together, rather than an electric current. I am part of a three-man team responsible for continuing the design and assembly of this machine, as well as implementing it in the weld shop.

Analysis and Design of Mechanisms is a 2nd year course that applies the mathematical concepts of vectors and dynamic physics. Students learn how to classify mechanisms, do static and dynamic force analysis of mechanisms, and graphical synthesis of linkages. There is various assignments and projects required for completion of this course and I am grading these requirements based on the rubrics laid out by the professor and the course guidelines.
