Hollie Andrus
Finding the right words to describe Dieter is tough, because he is just downright an incredible person. He is one of the most patient and giving people I have had the pleasure to work with. He goes the extra step in every part of a process to make sure the whole team, global and local, is supported. He ensures everyone has contingency plans in place should he not be able to immediately assist which drives team success to new levels. He learns new things like a sponge soaking up water and does an excellent job bringing that knowledge to his team. I don't know what we would have done without him on the team.

During the past two years of working with Dieter I have on several occasions been amazed at his ingenuity and problem solving skills. He is very dedicated to his work and the team around him and works extremely hard. Despite having the deck stacked against him some times he always manages to come out on top of a very demanding workflow. He has not only been a great help to me in the lab, he has also been a great friend! Anyone getting the chance to work with Dieter will find a great friend and an amazing colleague. Also there are puns! :)

Revamped the current infrastructure in GCP to enable the following key points: - Restructuring Utopia's cloud infrastructure, which is mostly running on GCP, following the CFT's best practices. The main goals of the restructure is to work towards a "You build it, you run it" environment where product teams have their own project to deploy resources in. - Identifying single points of failures and replacing them with highly available, scalable alternatives. Migrated Klarna's core services from the datacenter to AWS, which lead to enabling them to become 100% cloud-only. Largest project was the migration of OpenLDAP, where we successfully migrated to the cloud without downtime, while also making this fully IaC compliant and enabling scaling with supporting services and scripts. Second largest was the migration of a large Postfix cluster, which also got rewritten to be IaC compliant.
