Russell was the leader of our Planning and Allocation department. He showed great leadership as part of the total Retail Merchandising team during our transition to a new methodology in how we operated our stores. This change in methodology took us from a faltering retail organization to one that showed 4 successive years of increasing comp gains. This was not a conventional merchandising and it challenged our leadership in how we executed and implemented the necessary changes . His ability to see upcoming issues and to challenge the process was a crucial part of this turn around. Russell always went above and beyond in working with the stores.
