Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Continuing, Professional, Online and Distance Education
-
Jan 2022 - Sep 2023
As a Senior Lecturer within the Faculty of Continuing, Professional, Online and Distance Learning in TUS, I taught research-focused modules to postgraduate students, helping them to develop their research skills. Coming to academia from a professional context, students in the Department of Lifelong Learning bring a wealth of experience to their research to deliver innovative, timely and industry-relevant research.Coordinating the newly established Community of Practice of Research Supervisors (CoPoRS) was also a key part of my role. The CoPoRS aims to facilitate practice exchange amongst supervisors and contribute to a growing research community within the Faculty. Liaising with supervisors to support them in their role and to identify areas of interest for professional development were notable tasks for me within this community. Finally, I mentored staff across the Department in the develop of their digital skills through the provision of workshops and individual consultations.
