Joy Toose is a rare talent. A genuine leader who understands the business of social media. Having managed Joy in her time as Social Media Manager at World Vision Australia, I was most impressed by her ability to not just apply but shape best-practice. Doing so required her to influence stakeholders within a complex multinational organisation, which she did by exuding contagious passion and building trust with results. A natural people manager, Joy developed a high-performance team comprised of marketing, communications, and customer service specialists. In short, when it comes to social media management, Joy is the real deal. And a pleasure to work with.

I've had the pleasure of working with Joy for the past two years in our counterpart social media positions at our World Vision offices. I can positively say that Joy is not only strategic and creative in her communications but she brings to the table a sincerity and authenticity that is unmatched -- a quality our group of social media staff value very much. Joy has fearlessly led World Vision Australia in their social media presence. It is because of her they've engaged in new innovative efforts like blogger relations, field comms Instagram, and corporate blogging. From Joy's insights and knowledge as a social media manager, I have personally learned much about donor motivations and creative messaging. I would feel absolutely privileged to work beside Joy every day, and highly recommend her as a colleague and exceptional social media manager.
