I was put in charge of a work crew that was responsible for yard maintenance. We cut grass, weed eated, hedged and put out pine straw. I learned how a small business operated and the importance of being organized and understanding your company needs. I was put in charge of a work crew that was responsible for yard maintenance. At Greenleaf I was put in charge of developing several product prototypes. I had to work with the CEO and quality engineer on the prototypes and was responsible for testing them. Through creating prototypes I learned to ask for help from my superiors and for insight on problems that occurred during testing and creating. I was also part of a team where I assisted in daily testing of products and checking for imperfections with the quality engineer. I learned how to work with many different types of people from the CEO to floor men. I discussed product designs with senior officials and head engineers. I also helped develop systems that made day to day operations faster and easier for plant employees. My time at Greenleaf showed me how to be creative, diligent, and ask for help.
