  I coordinate a team focused on Clean Water Act (CWA) activities including: water quality standards (title 117), integrated report (CWA Sections 303(d), 305(b), and 314), impaired waters, total maximum daily loads, nonpoint source management, nonpoint source water quality grants, and data management. This includes administering several million dollars of federal and local funds to support internal programs and external grants including: budgeting, work plans, applications, amendments, and reports. I enjoy thinking outside of the box to protect water quality through innovative collaborative funding approaches.I have also supervised programs including: public beach monitoring, basin rotation monitoring, ambient stream monitoring, stream biological monitoring, ambient lake monitoring, fish tissue monitoring, fish kill and citizen complaint investigations, water quality certifications, hydrogeologic studies and reviews, groundwater management areas (title 196), ground water quality standards and use classifications (title 118), underground injection control (title 122), mineral exploration (title 135), wellhead protection, and source water protection. This collaborative effort involves a variety of funding sources, subgrant awards, contacts, agreements, and associated state and federal reporting and audits to further the mission of NDEE.
