My main role was to prepare the clothes and dress the mannequins ready to be photographed for their Antique and Vintage Fashion and Textiles Auction. I also assisted in lotting these items.This has taught me how to properly handle historical pieces that need extra care. As the clothes range from Victorian to the 1980s, I have learnt how to build each mannequin to a shape which is correct for the outfits’ period. I was also invited to work on the days of the auction where I assisted customers in the viewing of the lots, answering their questions and packing their purchased pieces.
