    • Physiotherapist Work Experience
      • Jun 2018 - Jul 2018

I undertook work experience in a Physiotherapy Unit for Amputees at Basildon Hospital whereby I shadowed medical professionals dealing with rehabilitation in clients suffering from below or above the knee, above the elbow amputations. The rehabilitation allowed individuals to become accustomed to their amputated limb and maximise individual physical potential. It was a rewarding experience where I saw first hand how Physiotherapists improve clients independence and overall quality of life. In particular, I was able to witness a client walk for the first time in 6 years. Overall, this experience allowed me to develop my communication skills with the public and how to convey scientific knowledge in a way that people would understand. Show less
