  Managed a 10-week interdisciplinary research project focused on the mapping and assessment of landslide susceptibility and exposure in the Dominican Republic using Earth observations & remote sensing techniques. Leveraged ArcGIS Pro and R to analyze and visualize spatial data. Presented team findings at the Annual Earth Science Applications Showcase at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Represented team interests as the main point of contact for communications between Spanish-speaking international project partners and landslide experts at Goddard Space Flight Center. Coordinated daily team tasks to maintain progress towards weekly deliverable deadlines.

  Completed a 10-week interdisciplinary research project utilizing NASA Earth observations (Landsat 5 TM, 7 ETM+, 8 OLI/TIRS) to assess urban heat and flood risk in urban areas of Rhode Island and New Jersey. The project was conducted through a partnership with a national non-profit dedicated to the enhancement of natural and urban environments of low-resource communities. The team created a set of tutorials for the partner that documented the step-by-step process of using satellite imagery to conduct the heat and flood analysis/mapping. In doing so, the partner was able to replicate the mapping methodology and thus improve their capacity to use satellite imagery in their decision-making process regarding future climate resilience planning efforts.

  Responsible for the management, organization and improvement of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) GIS database, as part of a Transit Asset Management (TAM) initiative. Contributed to the expansion and enhancement of a long-term project to collect over 3,000 rail asset locations. º Collected over 1,000 GPS points of LRT assets along 23 miles of in-service track. º Operated a Trimble Geo7X GPS device for data collection in the field and utilized GPS Pathfinder Office and TerraSync software for data processing and conversion. º Consulted with multiple Rail Support departments to determine project needs relating to GIS data collection, editing and mapping. º Verified accuracy of new and existing data using track blueprints, satellite imagery and fieldwork. º Gained fluency and understanding of: Light rail systems, Drone (UAS) technology applications, Asset Management
