He got top score each exam of the total 4 exams, and his mathematical background is impressive and very solid, which indicates his learning and analyzing capability is excellent among his peers. I know in his Engineering major, this ability, including approaching practical problems by modeling with theoretical and numerical aspects, is definitely appreciable and indispensable for further course / project training. Besides, I know him pretty well after the class. We discussed a lot of things including course work, and other academic stuff, and I know he is enthusiastic to learn new things, and like to express his own understanding.
