It has been my great privilege to mentor Pras from 2019-2022. When I first started working with Pras, he was a genuine newbie in his first professional engagement and with almost no code under his belt. I taught him the principles of good code architecture, countless programming patterns, and how to design and build AWS-based multiregion networks in a highly-automated PaaS environment, a domain that I note has intimidated many more-experienced developers. Pras has been a consistent high-achiever. He has made excellent progress as a programmer and software engineer, and has consistently maintained a bubbly and enthusiastic energy that is, quite frankly, terrifying! Pras is always the first to put his hand up for anything, even if he has no idea, he throws himself into the problem, learns everything there is to know about it, solves it, and puts his hand back up. Pras has shown himself to be a quick study, a flexible engineer capable of entering new problem spaces and adapting his approaches to them, a capable client liaison who builds and maintains great relationships, and someone who brings a cordial atmosphere to any meeting or discussion. He is enthusiastic, proactive, responsible, thoughtful, he eagerly accepts feedback and incorporates it into his work.

I have had the pleasure to see Pras develop his career over the past 3 years at Versent moving from an associate engineer to software engineer. He joined Versent as a career switcher where Pras's dedication to learn and improve his craft with a willingness to try new things has seen him really develop his engineering skills. He has earned the trust of his team and customer by his work ethic and always following through on what says he will do. He is now a respected member of our team and 'go to' on many aspects of our stack. More than that he openly shares his knowledge to assist others around him. Pras has a lot of great qualities but the standout is that he always brings a positive and inclusive attitude to work no matter what.

PingOne Advanced Services (https://www.pingidentity.com/en/cloud/pingone-advanced-services.html)50 customers (90M+ Identities) globally and growing.- Ping Identity Applications deployed as microservices with Kubernetes in a Private Tenant Cloud Model.- AWS Networking - Transit Gateway, S2S VPN, Direct Connect, PrivateLink- AWS for deploying resilient, available, performant and scalable infrastructure.- Python3, Typescript, Appsync, GraphQL, Cognito, Lambda, Step Function, SNS, DynamoDB, Cloudformation, Jest, Localstack, Makefile, Docker, Buildkite, Git- SRE/DevOps tooling and principles used within the project.- Monitoring, security, cost and compliance via Stax (https://www.stax.io/)I have been able to provide the most value on the P1AS project on anything related to networking on AWS. I studied networking at TAFE where I worked hard to secure foundation knowledge on networking aspects and was able to complete CCNA certification as I was finishing my degree.I then completed AWS Networking Specialty Certification to support my learning on the cloud network journey. I absolutely enjoy working with all things networking on AWS and I have been working on various use cases like,- Design Network Architectures based on customer use cases.- Automate Networking on AWS for the P1AS platform (Application networking across AWS Regions.)- Using Transit Gateway to create intra/inter region networking connectivity.- AWS Site to Site VPN with customers accessing applications and other resources on AWS reliably.- AWS Direct Connect connecting AWS to customer's on premises location with low network latency and security.- AWS Privatelink to allow access to specific applications.
