Ordered to active duty in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Served as the Camp Taji Mayor Cell Billeting Noncommissioned Officer in Charge under the Base Operations Support-Integrator(BOS-I). Was responsible for the overall camp housing of over 2200 US military personnel, contractors and coalition members. Maximized bed space at the lowest cost for the government. Ensuring units were staying compliant with camp billeting policies and analyzing the number of occupants per room to drive down the per soldier cost. Was the Billeting Contracting Officer Representative (COR) that was a part of the $165 million Base Life Support (BLS) contract for Camp Taji. Conducted and led weekly meetings with each unit and company representatives for all personnel to discuss on-going issues, future housing plans and to disseminate information needed to improve operations. Serving as the focal point between the US military and the BLS contracting company for all housing concerns, it involved a great deal of communication and organizational skills to ensure that the product would exceed the standard. Gathered information on personnel movement entering, and leaving, Camp Taji to ensure that the available bed spacing would be sufficient. Utilized, balanced and managed an Excel Spreadsheet that listed all vacant ready beds, vacant reserved bed and occupied beds that allowed greater oversight on housing operations. Managed the Personnel Status Report (PERSTAT) for over 2200 personnel located on camp for accountability and cost to the government. Would gather each individual unit’s PERSTAT, combine and formulate the numbers into an excel spreadsheet. The end product would be sent to higher elements that would analyze the personnel breakdown. Over my course I successfully revamped the camp’s billeting operations to allow a greater volume of readiness.
