For over 30 years I have worked in the field of social work and education. The first part of my career was spent in the area of social work. I worked for the State of New Mexico doing child protective services until I moved to Lubbock and went to work for Buckner Children’s Home where I spent over 12 years. I then went to work for South Plains College and spent over 13 years there as a counselor. My passion is to help young people (and not so young people) as they pursue their education. At South Plains College I worked with incoming students as they were just getting started in their college career. At Texas Tech University I am working with graduate students and any non-traditional students that may be attending the Rawls College of Business. I want to help them make sure they are following a career path that they will be excited about after graduation. I want to help students be able to make connections with potential employers and explore areas they may never have thought about.
