Business Development Executive

My role at Westmann Group has covered many business departments throughout my time here. Among the general office management which I have maintained over the last year, I have been responsible for a complete re-branding of the company, from creating a new logo to developing a website from scratch. I have also been involved in the accounts department, assisting weekly with payroll and invoice management. Another responsibility of mine has been human resources, from writing jobs adverts to arranging interviews and hiring successful candidates. I have run a successful marketing scheme in the background, attaining new clientele and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers helping to increase retention rate extensively. However, arguably my most proud achievement has come from working here at Westmann. My role offered me a chance recently to work alongside architects and designers for Danske Bank. I was able to input many ideas, some of which were successful, for the refurbishment of their Tower Bridge branch refurbishment. I also designed a mural personalised to the bank which has been now displayed on the walls of the London branch.

Market Research Intern
-
Oct 2015 - Mar 2016
I worked as part of a market research team on a consultancy project for Your Physiotherapy. The process included the development of a research proposal to be approved by the company, then various methods of primary and secondary research before a final research report was created and presented. This was of great personal achievement as we were successful as a team and our findings were useful and appreciated by the company founders. Working at Carrylift whilst at university has enabled me to perfect my time management skills, through organisation and method, and allowed me to be somewhat self-sufficient throughout my higher education. My responsibilities as an assistant and office clerk ranged across the accounts department, mainly the fundamentals of any office environment such as filing and disposing of confidential documents. Waitress
-
Jan 2012 - Dec 2012
My duties as a waitress were mainly front-of-house; welcoming customers, taking orders and serving. This allowed me to work on my customer service skills. I also worked in the kitchen assisting the chef from time to time, proving that I can handle pressure and produce quality work under time constraints. Working in a rapidly expanding company with such an important role proved to be incredibly rewarding; I was able to contribute to existing products as well as being given responsibility and trust to in research and present a prospective new service to provide which was successful. I loved being part of that department and being able to personally contribute and make a difference is one of my most treasured achievements. Other responsibilities at NST included renewing their database of schools and their contact details.

I have twice completed a summer placement as part of the Lancaster Diocese assisting sick and elderly individuals on the annual pilgrimage to Lourdes, France. On both occasions, the experience was tremendously fulfilling; I was honored to work as part of their team and delighted to receive such positive feedback regarding my participation and dedication over the working period. I feel this has not only improved my team work skills, such as communication and respect, it also aided me in becoming a more understanding and compassionate person, in assisting with issues of disability and disease.
