In my new role as a STEP Support Worker I am part of the Life Long Learning programme, supporting people with mild intellectual disabilities by organising and facilitating meaningful group and 1-to-1 activities based on service users' interests. Activities include: Introduction to Spanish; money management; driver theory test; arts group; mindfulness. My other duties and responsibilities within the service remain the same: Supporting service users to develop a Person Directed Plan (personal development plan) and create their Life Vision (goal setting, action planning and implementation, and periodical reviews).
