"Youth Central, Apostolic Worship Child Development, Inc., a non-profit, faith-based organization, is dedicated to furthering individual fulfillment through education, mentoring and family strengthening. The “brain child” of Frank E. Thompson, it all began with their first venture in 1997, a youth summer camp. The goal was to provide a fun, safe, educational environment for youth during the summer months. The summer programs continue to this day... ...YOUTH CENTRAL FRESH START ACADEMY In 2003, Youth Central began this program for students who were separated from their schools in Orange County. The program operates Monday thru Friday during regular school hours and provides an alternative for students being left at home or on the streets exposed to negative behavior. To date we have served 2761 youth. The program operates with a science based curriculum, Creating Lasting Family Connections (CLFC). This curriculum is registered with The National Registry of Evidenced-based Programs and Practices (NREEP) The program provides modules in effective communication, drugs & alcohol, raising resilient youth (parents) and “getting real” which promotes self awareness and mutual respect. Our purpose is to introduce the students to the “joy” of being in school and improving their behavior." - http://www.youthcentralawcd.com/About-Us.html
